The force of attraction between the constituent particles in any form of matter is called the inter molecular force or inter particle force. If the force of attraction between the particle is very strong the substance is said to be rigid. A solid is a rigid form of matter. If the force of attraction is weak is said to be fluid. A gas is a fluid.
